Vanity of vanities @ 4:42 AM
To be a good man, one must mix with good people. To become a great man, one must mix with great people. But, to become a greater man, one must distance himself from man and grow closer to God.
God has given me so much, yet he chooses too to take away. One may complain, may cry, may rant and rave of his losses but who are we to count them as but simply not gained. Into the world we come with nothing, we too shall depart with nothing. The life I live, Christ lives in me?
I pray that it be the case, for what shall I boast in? My skills, my charisma, my personality, my positions, my friends?? All are vanity of vanities. Jeremiah 9:23-24
23 This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
24 but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.
God works in mysterious and wonderous ways. He will do all things good for those who love him- Romans. Do we know God? God knows us. Do we love God? God loves us.
