God's calling for us to serve @ 11:06 PM
I believe God challenges us to step out of our comfort zones. He has given us a purpose to serve. To serve Him and to serve others. But why? Why me? Because Jesus is God's son. And when he died on the cross, Jesus has first claim over me. Because I am God's child, I am to respond to my Father's calling. What is his calling?
To seek the spirit. "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."John 4:23
To preach the good news. "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."Mark 16:15
To bring release to the captives(liberate people from sin) " The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,"Isaiah 61:1
To give liberty to the oppressed. " The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed."Psalm 103:6
